Miso

Background

Miso is a sweet 2019 albino het axanthic. We acquired her late in 2021 along with Leia. She has a very calm demeanor, never bluff striking or even puffing at us. Never one to miss a meal, this girl was the perfect size for her first breeding year in 2023, and produced an impressive 11 yetis and 4 albino condas!

2024 | X Eggroll (Super Yeti)

2023 | x Eggroll (Super Yeti)

15 good eggs, 1 slug from Miso's first clutch
Small yeti, pipping through egg
An albino conda coming out of the egg, with another albino and a yeti in the background
A group of hatchling western hognoses, mostly yetis
A whole clutch of western hognoses, mostly yetis
Some western hognose eggs, some pipped some still in the egg

This year we paired Miso with Eggroll. Given Miso's albino het axanthic, and Eggroll being a super yeti, we expected a statistical breakdown of 50/50: 50% albino condas (100% het axanthic), and 50% yetis. Well, much to our (pleasant) surprise, we ended up with a total of 15 eggs, 11 of which were yeti, and 4 of which were albino condas!

Holdback plan for this clutch is to keep two female yetis. The rest will be available after they hit 10g and have had 10 f/t unscented meals (likely early October, 2023).
